When you are buying ethereal items, open the trade window while he is still wearing the items, he cannot trade something unless it goes directly from his paperdoll into the tradewindow, otherwise you will clearly see, he is still wearing them. Hope this helps.

Never buy from a person. If its on a vendor buy it when the server is going down. If its fake no worries cause your getting your money back. Ifits real then just go back and re-buy the item when the server comes back up.
